Publish to the library

Publish to the library when a competency created inside a framework should become shared content for other frameworks.

Choose the target

Create a new library competency when the idea is not already in the library.

Update an existing library competency when the framework version improves shared content that already exists.

  2. 2. Choose Publish to library.
  3. 3. Choose whether to create or update a library competency.
  4. 4. Confirm the basic details.
  5. 5. Map job levels to proficiency levels.
  6. 6. Review and publish.

Map before publishing

Framework competencies are written against job levels. Library competencies are organized by proficiency levels.

Mapping decides how the framework's expectations become reusable library progression.

How this differs from editing the library

Editing a library competency starts from the shared library item.

Publishing to the library starts from framework content and turns that local work into shared content.
