Competency Library

Import from the library

Importing from the library helps framework authors reuse shared competency language instead of writing from scratch.

Start from a category

Open the framework category where the competency belongs. Importing from the library adds the competency to that category.

  1. 1. Open the framework.
  2. 2. Go to the Edit tab.
  3. 3. Select a category.
  4. 4. Choose Import from library.
  5. 5. Select the competency.

Map levels

Library competencies use proficiency levels. Frameworks use job levels. Mapping decides which library expectation should fill each job level.

Use manual mapping when a job level needs custom wording instead of a library expectation.

Review after import

After applying the mapping, review the competency in the framework and edit any local expectations that need more context.
