1. Eligibility

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Services

SkillsMap provides:

• career framework tooling
• competency management
• publishing and sharing tools
• optional AI integrations
• consulting services

Features may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. Accounts

You agree to:

• provide accurate information
• maintain security of your credentials

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Organizational Use

Where used within an organization:

• access is controlled by roles and permissions
• your organization may access or remove your data
• access may be revoked at any time

SkillsMap is not responsible for organizational decisions.

5. Acceptable Use

You will not:

• violate laws
• infringe rights
• disrupt or interfere with the Services
• attempt unauthorized access
• reverse engineer the platform
• use the Services to build a competing product

6. User Content

You retain ownership of your content.

You grant SkillsMap a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, and display content for the purpose of providing the Services.

You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the necessary rights.

7. Third-Party AI Services

The Services may provide access to third-party AI tools ("AI Providers").

• Use is optional and user-initiated
• Data is only shared when you choose to use AI features
• AI Providers process data independently

SkillsMap:

• does not control AI Providers
• is not responsible for their outputs or data practices

You:

• are responsible for reviewing outputs
• must not submit sensitive data without authorization

8. Fees

Certain features may require payment.

• fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise
• subscriptions may renew automatically
• pricing may change with notice

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access:

• for breach of these Terms
• for legal compliance
• to protect the Services

Upon termination, your access ends immediately.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Services remain the property of SkillsMap.

11. Confidentiality

We will treat User Content as confidential subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee:

• uninterrupted service
• accuracy of outputs
• fitness for a particular purpose

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• SkillsMap is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
• total liability is limited to fees paid in the previous 12 months

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify SkillsMap against claims arising from:

• your use of the Services
• your content
• your breach of these Terms

15. Changes to Services

We may modify or discontinue features at any time.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada.

Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement.
