SkillsMap ("SkillsMap", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia).

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard personal information in connection with the SkillsMap website, platform, and related services (the "Services").

SkillsMap is responsible for personal information under its control and has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for compliance with applicable privacy laws.

Where SkillsMap processes information on behalf of an organization, that organization is responsible for obtaining appropriate consent and authority.

  • No data is sent to AI Providers unless you explicitly use these features
  • When used, submitted content may be transmitted to and processed by the AI Provider

SkillsMap:

  • does not control AI Providers
  • is not responsible for their data practices
  • does not use Customer Data to train AI models

Your use of AI features is subject to the AI Provider's terms and privacy policies.

You are responsible for determining whether content submitted to AI features is appropriate for disclosure.

9. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose personal information:

  • to service providers (hosting, analytics, payments, support)
  • to AI Providers when features are used
  • to professional advisors
  • as required by law
  • in connection with business transactions
  • within organizations based on configured permissions

SkillsMap remains responsible for personal information processed by service providers.

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be processed outside Canada and subject to foreign laws, including lawful access by authorities.

  • role-based access controls
  • authentication systems
